24 hours of Herren Family Progress

Next [Print]

I am so excited to report that the first batch of newsletters have reached their destinations.  So far since yesterday I have heard from five Herren Family Members across the country.  I want to take a minute to quickly tell you a little about these folks.

First Contact:  Gary & Mary Herren from Noti, Oregon

To quote Mary, "We live in a shack in the woods in Oregon."  Mary told me that her and Gary have been happily married for 22 years.  Her mother-in-law lives in Texas and is the keeper of their family tree.  Hopefully I can get in touch with her soon.

James Herren of Arkansas, KS

Maybe he doesn't count but Uncle Jim was nice enough to call and check on me last night.  He like the newsletter but had a couple of tree correction dates that I will note in the next Newsletter.

Deborah Berry of Kansas City, MO

Aunt Debbie just called to say hello I suppose but she did get her newsletter.  She is and will continue to help me with the tree, newsletter and website maintenance.

James & Sheila Herren of Corbin, KY

Sheila sent me a nice e-mail with some family info on her side.  Hopefully soon we can talk in more detail and piece her side together.

Doug & Becky Herren of Kelseyville, CA

Heard some truly remarkable things from Doug.  Apparently there are several items in a museum in California dealing with Herren's.  There is also some proof that the Herren's are some how tied to Bill Hickok.  He told me tons of other stuff too.  Hopefully Doug will join the site soon and can post his stories since I am surely screwing them up right now.

All in all I am very pleased so far with the response I have recieved.  A little over 100 more newsletters will be going out on Monday and we will see what kind of response we can get from those states.
