My grandfather was John James Herren born 13 July 1884 in Willis, TX, died 16 July 1944 in Shreveport, LA. His parents were William H. Herren and Veronia Ann McDonald. John married Bertie Owens 17 Feb 1906 in Montgomery County, TX.
At present, I am trying to find out if my grandfather had any brothers and sisters and find out more about this family. Supposedly, his parents died at an early age and he left home at abt 14 to 15 years of age. I don't know this to be accurate.
Does anyone know of this family? Your help would be greatly apprecaited.
